Built in 1907, this beautiful dutch barge has been our happy home for the last three years. It’s currently moored in Chiswick, London, but we’re looking to sell to move nearer to family – if you have any questions, do get in touch.

A fantastic opportunity to acquire this fully functioning 65 ft. x 13.5 ft. Dutch Sailing Tjalk. Hoop Op Welvaart is currently moored at Chiswick Quay Marina, London, on a one year renewable residential mooring licence.

This well maintained barge was built in 1907 with a flat bottom steel hull, has a DAF DDS75 6 cylinder 105 HP engine installed in 1997. Last surveyed in December 2017.

The accommodation provides a wonderful open-plan kitchen/reception room accessed from the aft deck, one cabin, storage room, shower room and an array of storage facilities. The barge benefits from an air sourced heat pump with two air vent units, mains electricity and mains sewage via a pump out system and holding tank.

Chiswick Quay Marina is located on the River Thames and is within walking distance of Chiswick (National Rail) station – 20 mins direct to Waterloo. For the motorist one parking space is available and the A4/M4 and A3/M3 are both easily accessible. Mooring charges are £700 per month. Electricity is metered. Offers in the region of £120,000.

There is plenty of outside space, and seating at the back of the boat to throw some cushions on, ideal for entertaining friends, growing vegetables… you name it! As a further added bonus – Chiswick Quay Marina backs onto a beautiful stretch of the Thames. There is a grassy area (private for marina residents), to enjoy a stroll or some summer sun-downers, looking onto Chiswick Bridge and your very own patch of London riverside.

Take a look at our ApolloDuck listing for even more photographs, and do get in touch with any questions – we’d be happy to talk over any aspects of life afloat!
